Hofstede Lust en Last, dating back to 1672, is an enchanting estate located on Kokseweg in the picturesque village of Sommelsdijk. This road once served as the border between Holland and Zeeland and was known as the Scheytwegh. It is noteworthy that Sommelsdijk was a Zeelandic enclave in Holland until 1806.
The main house of Hofstede Lust en Last is a recognized national monument and stands out for its distinctive character. The building is separate from the barn, which was rare for traditional farms of that time. This gives the building a unique allure and makes it particularly special to visit and admire.
From the belief that we cannot keep such a unique and charming place to ourselves, but should share it with others, we have organized many activities around Hofstede Lust en Last over the years.
Since 2022, we have been pressing delicious juice from fruit grown in our own orchard of tall-stemmed trees, and starting from 2023, you can also have your fruit turned into juice at our estate.
Regularly we organise concerts in our barns. To see the calender please visit our website
